Let them know - online entries

Most of the 2020 events will have an online early entry system (despite being 45 years old Dart is moving with the times!)

Believe it or not, the number one question club race organisers ask ‘is how many entries are we going to have?’ Whilst it’s normally still possible to enter on the day - which is something that we would like to continue for last minute availability / escapees from other worlds - most people know in advance if they’re intending to partake.

If you are, or think you are, going to attend, please please let the club know. It will make their life much easier with everything from parking to prizes. This includes the number of courses needed, whether we get our own start (multi-class events), number of safety boats and bottles of beer behind the bar. All of these help to make the event more enjoyable for you, the sailor!

We all know weather forecasts (many a person has missed a great event by listening to a weather forecast!), family / work issues will all effect the final numbers, but give the club a chance to put on a good event and let them know you’re hoping to attend. Fellow club members often know who’s going from their club, and in that case if one of you can at least put ‘9 from Worthing’ (for example) on the UKIDA Facebook, site that would help.
