The Great Sail Sale!

In a recently signed marketing deal with Windsport, UKIDA now have some Dart 18 sails available which we intend to offer to you, our membership, over the remainder this year.

As part of his support for UKIDA, Brian Phipps has already been bringing his Windsport Catparts trailer to the Teach-In and several TT weekends. Windsport have also donated three Windsport vouchers for each TT event and also for the Nationals.

But what about these Windsport sails, two mainsails and two Jibs??...Plans for three of them are as follows:

1. One Jib will be won at the Nationals at Dee, by way of a draw from sail numbers of all Nationals competitors. You have to entered and present at the draw to win it so get your Nationals entry in now!
2. Another Jib is to be raffled, with tickets to be available to all UKIDA members. Tickets will be £1 each, or 5 for £4, available at events or by application to Sally, the UKIDA secretary. Additionally, for every UKIDA sailing event you enter on the 2009 racing calendar (TT, Nationals, Inlands), up to and including the final TT at Worthing, you are entitled to one free ticket, provided you purchase at least one ticket for that event. The draw will be held at the prize giving at the final TT event at Worthing.
3. A Mainsail is to be auctioned at the Nationals at Dee. The auction will take place on Friday 21 August at 7.30pm. Those who wish to take part but cannot be there in person can make arrangements for someone to relay their telephone bids! A telephone number for such bids will be announced shortly, but please contact Sally for more details if you are interested. This marketing initiative is vital to UKIDA’s revenues so there will be a reserve price.

That leaves one more Mainsail up for grabs!! How you might get your hands on that will be advertised in due course!
